The pattern of Figure 1 can be seen.
The pattern was applied to a strip of fabric, and the surface was designed with black ink.
The now completed Figure 1 stands in a scaffold and dances its name in patterns of Morse code.

A surface with the pattern of the figure can be seen. The pattern was applied to a strip of fabric, and the surface was designed with brown and black ink. The figure is now a completed full-body suit with a double upper body.
Gabrielle Duval moves in a hopping, turning, and probing manner as the figure with two upper bodies through an empty space.

Performance from 2022, accompanied by Al Burian's sound. The approximately 30-minute performance took place at Grünthaler9 in Berlin and was organized by Anja Ibsch and Adriana Disman (Buchapotheke).
On a white surface measuring 3x2 meters, mounted in the space with a flexible pulley system and featuring two white full-body suits, Aschenbrenner entered the right figure from the back of the surface. There, he dipped his fingers in ink and created line-like drawings on the surface and himself. He then entered the left figure and painted one third of the surface with an ink-soaked sponge.

Room with two Figures

Die Installation bestand aus einem aus Stoff genähten Raum, der auf einer Seite offen war und von vier Personen gehalten wurde. Der Raum maß ungefähr 1,8 x 3 Meter. Aschenbrenner betrat diesen Raum durch einen Schlauch, der an der Stirnseite des Raumes befestigt war. Sobald er den Raum betrat, verwandelte er sich in eine weiße Figur. Diese Figur war weiterhin über den Schlauch mit dem Raum verbunden. Im Verlauf der Performance verließ die weiße Figur den Raum durch einen zweiten Schlauch an der gegenüberliegenden Stirnseite und verwandelte sich in eine schwarze Figur. Diese schwarze Figur entfernte sich vom Raum, bis sie auf einen Widerstand stieß. An diesem Punkt öffnete sich die schwarze Figur, und die weiße Figur kam aus ihr hervor.
Während dieser Transformation schrumpfte der Raum zusammen und verkümmerte schließlich zu einer Art Schleppe, die von der weißen Figur hinter sich hergezogen wurde.

The installation consisted of a fabric space sewn together, open on one side and held up by four people. The space measured approximately 1.8 x 3 meters. Aschenbrenner entered this space through a tube attached to the front end. As soon as he entered, he transformed into a white figure. This figure remained connected to the space through the tube. During the performance, the white figure exited the space through a second tube on the opposite end and transformed into a black figure. This black figure moved away from the space until it encountered a resistance. At that point,

the black figure opened up, and the white figure emerged from it.
During this transformation, the space shrank and eventually withered down to a sort of train that the white figure dragged behind.
